Accounting Manager

We are Abugo, and we're looking for a Senior Accounting Manager. We need someone who has a strong command of Czech accounting standards, builds relationships both internally and externally with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders, and remains calm under tight deadlines.

Your Role

  • Set up the team – primarily the tactics for Accounting & Back Office, unify processes and systems, and lead key initiatives according to the broader strategic vision.
  • Mentor your people and lead the team by example in planning, execution, and evaluating results.
  • Establish the monthly closing process and deliver consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow on time, including reconciliation of management and statutory views.
  • Create a secure environment by setting up a system of internal controls, updating the internal policy book, and implementing other risk mitigation measures.
  • Build relationships – be the face of the functions your team represents, both internally and externally. Communicate with colleagues as well as auditors, the tax office, banks, advisors, and key suppliers.
  • Lead the group through the audit – together we will create the group's annual report and audit it with an unqualified opinion.

About You

  • A Senior Accounting Manager with strong foundations in Czech accounting standards.
  • An experienced leader who knows how to manage a team in good times and tough times.
  • Skilled at building bridges internally among colleagues and externally with stakeholders.
  • No deadline throws you off balance.

Requirements

  • Approximately 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading an accounting team.
  • Strong knowledge of Czech accounting standards.
  • Experience communicating with auditors, banks, and other external partners.
